Crafted in the distinctive Coonawarra terroir, this Shiraz exhibits the region's hallmark characteristics: deep colour, intense flavours, and a firm tannin structure. The low winter rainfall and mild summers contribute to the wine's exceptional quality and longevity.

Tasting Notes

This limited-release wine showcases a vibrant magenta hue with hints of purple. The nose is tantalising, offering ripe dark red berries, blood plum, and blackcurrant, beautifully complemented by the cedary spice and mocha notes from its 18-month oak maturation. The integrated oak adds layers of complexity and elegance. On the palate, the wine is beautifully balanced, with a harmonious interplay of fruit, acidity, and tannins. Immediately enjoyable, this wine promises even greater complexity with age.

2021 Vintage Characteristics 

A mild winter and growing season without significant rainfall resulted in a long, consistent ripening period, ideal for premium quality grapes. The minimal rainfall ensured small, concentrated berries with thick skins and a high potential for strong colour extraction and development.

The relatively mild summer season led to low pest and disease pressure, resulting in wines with vibrant colour, good flavour and aroma profiles, balanced acidity, and a tannin structure that provides excellent cellaring opportunities.
